FAQ

How is the art chosen for this art blog?

We search ArtOrbiter’s Facebook and Google+ accounts for inspiring work.

Do you accept submissions?

We’re happy to look at any work, that said not all work fits our curatorial outlook.

What is your curatorial outlook?

We love well crafted work with strong composition.

Is there a way to help get my work on ArtOrbiter.com?

The best way is to post work to your account, those that do this make it easier for us to see the work. Just by adding us as “friend” puts you in our orbit and we do go through profiles searching for art to post.

What is your policy regarding copyright?

We operate under the basic understanding of Creative Commons Licensing. We try to notify artists that they’ve been included and are always happy to remove a work at an artists request. We do this because we love looking at art and as a small service to the artists we love.

How often do you post?

We try to post twice a week but life and our own art sometimes can slow us down to less than optimal posting.

I notice that some artists are on ArtOrbiter.com more often, why is that?

Simply because they post more often to Facebook or Google+, we see their work more often and if we like it we post it!

Why is it some of the work has more information posted with it?

We use the information that was given, no more and no less.

You chose one of my works and that’s great but can you add a link to my website?

We’re doing this on a budget of both time and money at least for now. So to be able to include as many good artworks in a week we cannot add links to each work. We give attribution and the social media site we found it on. That makes it easy for anyone who falls in love with your work to find you.

You posted on of my works and I have a show coming up, can you let people know about it?

Yes, just message or email us and we will add that information. Congratulations!

  1. Hello,

You erroneously posted as mine the work of a friend of mine. The striped work on paper you posted in my name (Anne Russinof) is instead the work of Kim Uhciyama.

Hi! Just sent a friend request on Facebook but they wouldn’t let me do it for my Facebook art page. So I thought I would send you the link to it: https://www.facebook.com/pages/DANA-PRUNERChromasoul-Studio/148664431823266 If you like, then feel free to “Like” !!!! Thanks for your work in providing this site! I’ve found some amazing inspiration!
